Decoration & Styling of a Refurb

This client employed an architect to reconfigure the bedrooms in her home in order to create an extra bathroom in her large basement bedroom. She also cleverly reduced the family bathroom into a small shower room, to give her son a larger bedroom.

My brief was to create a cabin feel in her bedroom using reclaimed wood for a feature wall and bright tonal paint colours for walls and new joinery, all by Valspar.  We played with bright, graphic, handmade tiles in her new ensuite bathroom, mixing it up with a royal blue Formica worktop.  In the childrens bedrooms we continued the bright tonal theme, mixed with vintage wallpapers and rugs to create vibrant and playful spaces.  The small new family shower room lent itself to a very simple, monochrome graphic look. This project was featured in 25 Beautiful homes. Architect credit: Johanna Ahrberg-Jackson

I had my own taste and sense of what I wanted in my flat but Sarah managed to fine tune the look to make it cohesive, knew exactly where to source the tiles, laminates, stylish bathroom fixtures etc, taught me some tricks about light and maximising space and made the whole process easy and stress free!
