These clients had lived in their house for about 20 years – with their grown up children leaving the family nest, they felt it was time for some changes and to update their lovely victorian home and give it a new lease of life.
A new colour palette was chosen throughout, using shades and hues of blues, greens and greys, all by Farrow & Ball, contrasted with off white ceilings to highlight and bring out all the original features. Wall panelling was added in the hallway and landings, that complimented the original flower aniglipta wall paper. Adding colourful victorian glazed tiles made the fire hearths pop out, and the bathroom had a make over adding a patterned floor tile to compliment the new decoration. Radiators were updated to dark column versions and lighting was replaced with new vintage styles with a modern twist. Herringbone pattern carpets added more texture and warmth, with a few new key pieces of furniture, this completed a more fresh, cohesive look.
Finally the front garden had a complete redesign and make over. New clay brick tiles complimented a porcelain patterned pathway. We replaced the front and side gates, and added a stylish bin storage, all in a colour palette that complimented in the inside of the house.
