Redecoration & styling a new build eco flat

This new build ‘eco’ flat was the new home for a client who had recently downsized from a large Victorian family house. This new space was a big change for her and initally felt very bland, with little character. We collaborated together to add warm colour palettes to the walls and mixed her ecletic vintage furniture and accessories with new bought modern pieces that suited the open plan layout.

We completely renovated the white kitchen with an earthy green design and some moroccan splashback tiles.  Wall cupboards were swopped for open plan oak shelving, and we added wall lights to blend the kitchen and living room spaces together. We stuck to the earthy colour palettes for the furniture and accessories, with repeated wood elements, a bit of pattern and some black highlights for the lights.

For the main bathroom, we decided to work with the existing materials instead of doing a full refurb and were pleasantly surprised to see that adding a warm colour to a very beige bathroom, really lifted and improved the feel.

We colour drenched both the bedrooms and had the wardrobe doors sprayed the same colour. Adding layers of textures and accessories transformed the white bedrooms into relaxing retreats that felt cozy and characterful.

This project was proof that you can turn a bland white, modern box into a creative, warm space that really feels like home!

Sarah did a fantastic job transforming what was an generic, nondescript modern apartment, into a characterful, stylish and comfortable space.
Sarah’s great skill in listening and understanding my needs as well as my aesthetic and creating a space where I feel totally at home and reflects my personality.
