Residential Project

This client employed an architect to reconfigure the bedrooms in her home in order to create an extra bathroom in her large basement bedroom and reduce the family bathroom into a small shower room, to give her children more space. My brief was to create a cabin feel in her bedroom using reclaimed wood for a feature wall and bright tonal paint colours for walls and new joinery.  We played with bright, graphic, handmade tiles in her new ensuite bathroom, mixing it up with a royal blue formica worktop.  In the childrens bedrooms we continued the bright tonal theme, mixed with vintage wallpapers and rugs to create vibrant and playful spaces.  The small new family shower room, lent itself to a very simple, graphic look. This project was featured in the July 2016 copy of 25 Beautiful homes. Architect credit: Johanna Ahrberg-Jackson
